This herbal sprinkle is a medley of nutritious + immune-supporting culinary herbs combined with toasted sesame seeds + salt. These plants also support digestion + liver + kidney cleansing, so they are perfect to pair with food.


Gomasio is a traditional Japanese condiment which can be used on everything: toast + eggs, rice, oatmeal, veggies, in salad dressing, etc. While gomasio recipes traditionally use dried seaweed flakes for flavoring, we’ve substituted those for stinging nettle from our garden, equally nutritious + delicious.


Stinging nettles are one of the most mineral-rich herbs in our medicine garden. The leaves are full of iron, calcium, vitamins + minerals to support healthy bones + blood. 


Basil is a culinary herb often underrated as a deeply medicinal plant as well. Basil is considered an adaptogenic plant, high in essential oils which are antibacterial.  Basil is also supportive of our digestive + nervous systems (the gut-brain connection), and is a folk remedy for nervous irritation, fatigue + feeling rundown.  The purple color in this gomasio is from shiso, or Japanese basil.


Thyme, oregano, sage + rosemary are aromatic + resinous with essential oils to power our immune system + support digestion.
